WILL I BE WITH THE SAME THERAPIST?
We schedule patients with the same therapist throughout the duration of their care and provide individualized one on one care. However, there may be times when our licensed physical therapy assistant will treat you to accommodate your schedule or cover for your therapist as they work together to assist you in your recovery.
WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Insurance companies generally have varied coverage for physical therapy. Coverage will vary specific to your plan. We recommend that you call your insurance company to find out their physical therapy benefits prior to you starting physical therapy. As a service to you we will bill your insurance for you but ultimately you will be financially responsible for your care.
WHAT INSURANCE COMPANIES DO YOU ACCEPT?
We are preferred providers for most major insurance companies including by not limited to Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield….Please call and talk to our receptionist to determine if we are preferred providers for your insurance.
HOW MUCH DOES PHYSICAL THERAPY COST?
The cost of each visit varies depending on the treatment techniques utilized for your individualized treatment. After your evaluation, the physical therapist will be able to give you a better estimate and explanation of potential costs. Your specific responsibility will vary depending on your insurance plan. We do have payment options to assist you with your financial responsibilities. We also accept credit card payments for your convenience.
DO I NEED A PHYSICIAN’S REFERRAL FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Generally yes. Although Oregon and Idaho are both direct access states, meaning that a physician’s referral is not required to receive physical therapy initially, most insurance plans require a physician referral for physical therapy.
CAN I CHOOSE WHERE I HAVE PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Yes. If you do have a referring physician let them know you prefer to go to Treasure Valley Physical Therapy. It is your choice as a healthcare consumer to go where you want. We look forward to helping with your rehabilitative needs.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO MY FIRST VISIT?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so you can provide us the necessary paperwork and insurance information (please bring your insurance cards). Please bring a list of your current medications including dosage and the referral from your doctor. To save time you can also print and fill out the Intake forms located on our Form page of this section (Patient Information and Functional Level).
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We recommend that you bring comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing or athletic wear to allow us to evaluate your area of injury and allow you to move or exercise more easily.
HOW LONG DOES EACH VISIT TAKE?
Each visit will depend on your rehabilitative needs but generally each visit will last around 60 minutes. We believe strongly in one-on-one care with a licensed physical therapist or assistant and because of that our appointments are scheduled on the hour.
HOW MUCH THERAPY WILL I NEED?
The length of your treatment will vary depending on your physician orders, your physical therapists recommendations, the severity of your condition and your recovery. Your therapist will discuss with you the duration of your treatment and will make adjustments accordingly to your needs. We will do all we can to help you recover as quickly as possible.
